Video Transcript:
If you're faced with a divorce, you're going to be faced with a number of issues before the court: child custody of course being the most important. The court is going to have to determine what the parenting schedule is going to be with your children; then the court is going to determine who will pay what in the way of child support for the children. Next the court is going to look at property division and will divide your property according to the law, after that the court will determine whether or not one party or the other is entitled to alimony.
There are a number of kinds of alimony and the court will break that down as well, there's permanent alimony, there's rehabilitative alimony to get someone back into the work place if they've been out of the work place for a while and there's transitional alimony which is merely an amount of money to help you get from married life to single life and finally the court will determine if one side or the other should help pay for the other sides attorney's fees and that's merely based on how wealthy the respective sides are as compared to each other.
So those are the issues you would face in a divorce and we're here to help you with those. We've done it many times before and we'd like to have a chance to help you.
